Moon Songs

A DIY backyard garden show for local Brooklyn musicians under the new moon.

Alex Law (she/her) is always on the move as a dancer and as a producer. Based in Brooklyn, she is an events organizer / producer, choreographer, and dance artist. She co-founded the arts collective Prospect House (2023–2025), has produced showcases in venues across Brooklyn (BAH and Triskelion Arts) as well as in backyards and living rooms, and has choreographed for Moonstruck, an illicit concert series under the full moon. Wherever there's a space to gather, she will find a way to bring people together.

She loves the production side of things and has participated most recently as an assistant to a dance film directed by Jenya Romanovich. When it comes to events, she has co-produced Y-Exchange, a series of free talks featuring artists working across art, tech, and science. As Director of Marketing & Communications at Kinetech Arts, she also co-produced DanceHack, an annual SF hackathon facilitating the collaboration between tech and performing arts.

Outside the arts, she co-organized the annual conference Data Day alongside Lynn Bender, drawn in by his approach to community organizing and outreach. As speaker liaison from 2023 to 2026, she worked with about 60 speakers each year and made space for women thought leaders in data and AI to connect and lift each other up in an industry being rapidly reshaped by AI.

She is a current Motive Brooklyn Resident Artist and has is in school for physical therapy.
